Having decided at Jon & Jans that sleeping through the night was a good idea, we decided that it was time she moved into the girls room and into a cot (she was in a baby hammock) - they grow up too fast :( But it does mean we can have our room back in the evening without worrying about disturbing her (which we sometimes did tapping away til the early hours on the PC). :)
The link is to one similar to what we have (the blue one), but ours was from www.babynest.co.uk - which apears to be unavailable at the mo.

Now I wondered about babynests when we were preparing for Small but in the end we went with a bedside cot. Which he's still in. Beginning to think about moving him out, but it's going to necessitate a huge reorganisation of all the bedrooms (sounds so grand, there are only 3) so we haven't got round to it yet. How old is your baby? Small is one on Saturday...
Ellie is 6 months, but Boo (who is now three) was in it till she was about 10 months. In theory it would be OK up to about 18 months, but my two have both had experience of a travel cot and the 'space' that that offered and then been a little restless going back into the hammock. It didn't help either that Ellie has a dummy, so to keep it in her mouth I slept her on her front at Jans and so going back on her back in the hammock upset her! Abbie only moved out of it too get her used to a cot in time for a new baby, who arrived when she was a year old.
Ah right.
As soon as Small could roll over (which was quite late as he's quite big *and* in cloth nappies) he's only been happy sleeping on his front, so I don't think he'd have got on with a hammock terribly well.
