Flubber Science Gifts

Part of the fun of Christmas Camp was being creative enough to make the gifts ~ and gifts for boys were especially hard to be creative with. I came up with the idea of 'Silly Putty' and over time we made several batches with different ingredients and quantities. It was great science ;D.

Eventually Joel perfected it, and here it is...

We actually have three pots that we kept ~ this one (the best for stretch, bounce & 'goo' combined), a bouncier, less messy one, which is easier to clean away & less sticky than playdoh - great for cutters and 'writing' in... and a super-slimy, gooey one, which is just ton of fun!

Christmas Camp

A whole month since I blogged ~ but I can forgive myself ~ it's been a crazy month, so I'm back-dating this to keep the rest in order! From Christmas Eve until Monday this week we had extra people around. 15 for Christmas Eve, 21 for Boxing Day, back down to 15, then 13, then 12 and finally back to normal!

Before Christmas week even began we went toa HE Christmas Camp ~ way back at the BEGINNING of December! It was our first time, and we only went as 'day visitors' because there wasn't room for us all to stay. We had a great time though and the children absolutely LOVED spending so much time getting to know a whole bunch of HE friends just that little bit better.

SO, because all my friends have possibly been waiting... here's some snapshots...

Crafting, chilling and chatting ~ in plentiful supply!
